Bony Macaroni Ft. Brett Newski (US) is een muzikale samenkomst op niveau. De Amerikaanse Brett Newski zal Europa doortouren met de heren van Bony Macaroni als begeleidingsband. Op 13 mei staan beide acts in De Meester met een dubbele dosis aanstekelijke ‘jank-punk’.
Aan recenties geen gebrek, stuk voor stuk bevestigen zij het talent van deze acts, maar uiteraard kunnen wij iedereen aanraden het zelf te komen ontdekken.

Nietsverhullend milennial-leed en oprechte levensvragen. Soms wat cynisch, soms wat zeikerig, maar altijd recht voor zijn raap. Bony Macaroni brengt het snel (en ook best hard) en hoort jou het liefst de volle 3 minuten meeblèren.
De tragikomische emo-pop van Bony Macaroni kwam dan ook zo hard en snel als de tracks doen vermoeden. Binnen een jaar speelden ze vanuit het niets precies 52 shows door Nederland, Duitsland en België. Festivals van Sniester tot Mildtfest, supports voor o.a. Tim VanTol en de legendarische Raggende Manne en een Popronde-marathon langs de lekkerste zaaltjes van het land. Het afgelopen jaar is er hard gewerkt aan een debut-album vól met van die potentieel verslavende oorwormen. Dus, mocht je zin hebben in zo’n aanstekelijk avondje jank-punk, sla deze dan zeker niet over!

For fans of 90’s alternative, BRETT NEWSKI (US) is an indie-rock songwriter and author, touring europe this May with Dutch underground punk heroes Bony Macaroni as his backing band.
Coming off recent collaborations with Nada Surf’s Matthew Caws, Barenaked Ladies co-founder Steven Page, and Brian Vander Ark of the Verve Pipe, NEWSKI launches eight new tracks, a soundtrack to his book titled “It’s Hard to be a Person: Defeating Anxiety Surviving the World, and Having More Fun.”
He has been featured on Rolling Stone, NPR, American Songwriter, SiriusXM, Boston Globe, Paste and SPIN.
Newski has played alongside acts like Pixies, Violent Femmes, Courtney Barnett, Manchester Orchestra, Better than Ezra & New Pornographers. He continues to tour over 100 dates per year.
Newski’s podcast Dirt from the Road dives into strangest travel stories, mental health boosts, and how to navigate the hurdles of being a person in modern times.
