CELT-N-FOLK XIII: CESAIR + SEED + EMIAN
Epic Folk & Mythic Music
Ever since mankind learned how to speak, stories have been shared and passed down through generations. As such, legends gave birth to epic songs. It is this manner of storytelling that lies at the heart of Cesair’s music. As a band, they aim to bring to life the epic tale of the eponymous Cesair, a mythological princess that sailed the oceans 5,000 years ago. They set to music the chapters of her story, captured by the words of many romantic souls, with unique, original compositions, performed on a great variety of instruments. Their music incorporates the musical, spiritual and historical heritage of cultures from all around the Orient and Occident, creating a mixture of eastern sounds and rhythms and traditional as well as modern European folk music. They invite you to join them in a world of timeless adventures and colourful characters, and to take part in a story that may last a lifetime.
The Fae and Pagan folk band SeeD taps into the mysterious world of the Ancient Fae and the modern world of dreams and passions in life. Their aim is to make these two separate worlds converge, thus activating people in making the best of both. The four musicians travel from festival to festival to inspire the people lost in this world and to tell the listener tales of the vast Fae realms, or to simply get everyone dancing to the energetic, self-composed Pagan folk tunes. SeeD plays music of their own creation. Every single one of the band members helps with composing and writing the music, thus creating an organic flow of creation. Because of this, there is not just one kind of song in their repertoire, but a healthy mix of all kinds of Pagan Folk tunes and songs.
From Celtic to North-European culture, from medieval ballads to shamanic chants: the music of EMIAN combines North European and Mediterranean folk languages, capturing the listeners’ attention through enchanting songs, leading their mind to spectacular sceneries such as snowy peaks and enchanted woods, along the Scandinavian fjords. They are offered the unique and unexpected opportunity to discover their deepest self together with lost archaic feelings that can bring back the ancestral harmony with the universe.
EMIAN PaganFolk formed in 21th December 2011 (Yule, the winter solstice). Their music and interpretation are the result of an ancestral vision of life, far from contemporary lifestyles and close to the ancient and natural values.
